PEATC Operations & Call Center


The PEA Tollway Corporation (PEATC) is a stock subsidiary corporation
under the Public Estates Authority, a regulatory agency attached to the
Office of the President.

PEATC was established on July 26, 1996 with the signing of a Toll Operations
Agreement by the PEA, the Toll Regulatory Board and the UEM-MARA
Philippines corporation. The agreement called on PEA to operate and maintain
the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway

(MCTE) for a period of 35 years. PEATC�s incorporation was registered with
the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 7, 1997.

PEATC has a manpower base of 231 personnel distributed in seven
departments: the Toll Collections and Operation; Administration and Human
Resources; Traffic, Safety and Security; Internal Audit; Finance; legal; and
Engineering and Maintenance.

Aside from toll collection, PEATC also implements programs on traffic control
and emergency operations including assistance to disabled vehicles. To
maximize the provision of services to the public, it also provided other
support mechanisms such as the establishment of information services and
administration of ancillary facilities.

As a corporation tasked to manage the MCTE, PEATC continues to strive as a
preferred operator of tollways. With vigorous and efficient system, PEATC's
toll collection averages P700,000 a day.

To further enhance the PEATC's commitment to service, it is currently
evaluating the feasibility of introducing an electronic payment system,
which could expedite toll collection and ensure safety for both the motorist
and the operators.

Under the system, transactions need not involve cash, thus, minimizing
security risks, fraud and pilferage. likewise the queuing of vehicles in the
toll plazas would be minimized since transaction is completed within a few

PEATC is coordinating with the government's leading transport agencies like
the Department of Transportation and Communications, The Philippines
National Construction corporation, Light Rail Transit Authority, to explore
the possibility of integrating their respective toll payment and collection
schemes using the electronic payment system.
